2015 Northern BC CLAYFEST

The Prince George Potters’ Guild is thrilled to host the fourth Northern BC Clayfest from August 7 – 9, 2015. This exciting event offers the opportunity to learn about advanced clay techniques from some of the world’s best potters. Four nationally and internationally renowned presenters will be providing demonstrations and slide shows at Clayfest. These include Carole Epp from Saskatoon, SK, Cathi Jefferson from the Cowichan Valley of Vancouver Island, Brendan Tang from Vancouver, BC, and Bill Reddick from Peterborough, Ontario.

The opening of the 2015 Clayfest features our showcase of work by the Prince George Potters’ Guild entitled “Hullabaloo” in celebration of Prince George’s 100 year Anniversary and UNBC’s 25th Anniversary. The “Hullabaloo” event will be free to the public and the first 100 attendees will receive a complimentary commemorative appie plate! Friday’s showcase will be followed by an evening social event and artist’s slideshow at Studio 2880. An evening dinner on Saturday Aug 8th at the Twisted Cork will provide an opportunity for our registrants to meet and socialize with our presenters. The two-day workshop itself will feature the demonstrated skills and techniques of each of the presenters, and give each of the participants ample opportunity to observe and engage the artists. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to browse and purchase from the works of the visiting presenters and fellow artisans.
