2018 Call for Mural Proposals

Description

The Burnaby Arts Council (BAC) seeks to increase cultural vibrancy of the city of Burnaby by engaging local street artists, muralists, creators and arts lovers through the creation of the Mural Project. The BAC is seeking artists to complete 1 mural at the Deer Lake Art Gallery. Artists must reside in the Lower Mainland, Canadian residents and be 18 years of age or older.

Successful candidate will begin working on the mural starting May 22, 2018 and MUST be completed the mural no later than July 3, 2018. The unveiling of the mural will occur on Saturday, July 7, 2018 during the outdoor Summer Arts Festival. Artist(s) will be required to participate in the unveiling on this date.

BAC will award the TOTAL of $3,000 to the artists at the completion of the Mural Project. In addition there is a $500 budget for the cost of materials.
