AIMAE: The Annual International Mail-In Art Exhibition | May 27 – June 16

Description

AIMAE: The Annual International Mail-In Art Exhibition | May 27 – June 16
For professional artists, the rising cost of shipping restricts one’s participation in international exhibitions, exposure and competitions. The Federation of Canadian Artists has made an exhibition that significantly reduces these costs. We present an entire show of artwork delivered in envelopes from around the world, representing more than a dozen different countries.
100 pieces of original, international artwork will adorn the gallery with diverse responses to the exhibition’s theme, of “Home”. This exhibition is about experiencing the emotions of others, opening ourselves to the diversity of “home”, and maybe finding something unexpected that we have in common.

Opening Reception | April 4th, 6 – 8 PM
Join us in recognizing the achievements of these international and award-winning artists.
This event is FREE, all age inclusive, with free parking after 6 PM and easy public transportation to and from Granville Island.

Who are we?
In 1941, the Canadian Federation of Artists (FCA) was organized in Ontario. The FCA is a registered charity founded in 1941 by professional Canadian working artists including Group of Seven luminaries Lawren Harris, Arthur Lismer, and A.Y. Jackson.
