Art Demonstration ~ Roderick Brown


It is the Burnaby Arts Council’s pleasure to invite you to the demonstration by visual artist Roderick Brown on Saturday, September 26th @12 pm.

This FREE demonstration will be at the Deer Lake Gallery, 6584 Deer Lake Avenue, Burnaby, BC. An event that coincides with the BC Culture Days celebration!

About Roderick Brown
Roderick Brown is a wood sculptor who also works in digital media, paint and printmaking. He is a self-taught wood sculptor, who has participated in several group shows, a recent solo exhibition and numerous sculpture demos and competitions. He was awarded People’s and Juror’s Choice awards from a juried exhibition in Terrace, BC along witht he Carver’s Choice award at the Alaska Cup International Carving Competition. Roderick lives near the banks of the Skeena River in Terrace, BC.

His sculpture are mostly made from reclaimed western red cedar and his current signature work features represntative fish with stylized patterns over the surface of the sculpture.
