Artist Call: Rooted

Description

Join the Langley Arts Council and celebrate Langley’s new home for the arts now inside the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre through our exhibition and Grand Opening celebration centering on the theme Rooted.

We invite artists to submit 2-D work that celebrates and contemplates the meaning of the word Rooted, whatever that means to you, but especially in regards to having a place or grounding in family, land, memories, community, a country, etc. We are all woven together and are supported by our land and each other, and this is our opportunity to recognize where we come from, who we are together, and where we are going.

Show runs March 9th Through April 2nd at the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Centre and will be the kick off to our rotating exhibitions at this location.

Submissions are invited from LAC members, and new members are welcome (it is to become one! Visit www.langleyarts.ca/membership to learn more) and limited to work that can be wired and hung on a wall. 3 per artist. No submission fees!

Submission Deadline: Feb 25th 2019
