Burnaby Summer ARTS Festival

Burnaby Arts Council first Summer Arts Festival – A community celebration of the Arts will be held on Saturday August 15th, 2015 at the Deer Lake Gallery, 6584 Deer Lake Avenue from 11 am โ€“ 5 pm. The Arts Festival features outdoor sculpture works by local artists, the presentation of 3 live music groups, local artisan vendors, Burnaby Summer Theatre performing their hit play Tavey the Barefoot Knight, and a public interactive art workshop for children. All performances, children open workshops and market events are FREE to the public.

The BAC Summer Arts Festival includes 15+ artisans including: a glass blower, hand painted silk fashions, unique wood crafted wild life, original watercolours, acrylic and oil pastel artwork, jewelery, plus much more! Local artist Violet Finvers will display her beautiful glass work, Doris Jetz and her Ink & Dolly handcrafted funky gifts and accessories are present, as well as Charlie Aniban’s unique woodwork that will appeal to anyone who love the smell of fresh carved wood. The Burnaby Artistsโ€™ Guild and the Burnaby Writers Society are participants too! HUNGRY? Be sure to check out Mr. Tubesteak in the line-up of vendors with their gourmet smokies, hotdogs and fresh buns!
