As a solo performer Gord Oliver enjoys covering diverse artists from the 50’s & 60’s, right on up to modern hit-makers like John Mayer and Green Day. Luvena enjoys playing acoustic covers of popular hits as well as writing and performing original music, Brian Daniel, former secondary school music teacher playing keyboards along with Howard Ho a versatile guitarist conversant in both rock and jazz styling’s.

A FREE hands on art workshops for children of ALL ages. Introducing children to Kandinsky’s abstract artwork. Pairing colourful paper circles together gives kids a chance to see which colours look best together, layering abstract shapes on top of other colours. The concepts of emotion and colour in art are also introduced by reading from the book ‘My Many Coloured Days’ by Dr. Suess and Steve Johnson. The kids work with acrylic paints to create concentric circles on wood and a mural for future exhibition. Kids get to take home the paper project as well as the wooden magnet!

Local professional and emerging artists shall exhibit samples of their outdoor artwork including sculpture and other 3D work. Just to name a few of the artists you can expect to see original work: Ron Simmer, Ewan McNeil, Bill Thomson . . . plus more!
We cannot forget to mention the wonderful Burnaby High School volunteers that have generously donated their time over the past month as well as on the event day! Thank you! We are also looking forward to working with “BEST”, to coordinate a special needs volunteer in partnership with the Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion.
