Call for Artists: Homesick

CALL FOR VISUAL ARTISTS – Homesick
CityScape Community Art Space
Exhibition Dates: April 22 – May 21, 2016

The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is seeking artists for a themed exhibition called “Homesick,” for CityScape Community Art Space.

In this transitory society most of us have come from somewhere else, leaving behind all that was familiar – home, family, friends, and traditions. Have you ever longed for or yearned about a time from the recent or distant past? This exhibition invites artists to capture and express the feelings and emotions that are stirred when experiencing a sense of being “homesick”. The artwork will embody their individual representations of what it feels like to be homesick.

The exhibition will be held at CityScape Community Art Space April 22 – May 21, 2016, with an opening reception on Thursday, April 21, 2016.

Please submit 2D, 3D, photography, sculptures and installation works in all mediums representing what it means to be homesick.
