Call for Proposals: Visual Arts Instructors (ongoing)

Description

The Port Moody Arts Centre is seeking proposals from creative and experimental contract Arts Instructors to instruct:
• visual arts programs and workshops for adults for all abilities
• arts and crafts for children of all ages
• birthday parties

The successful instructor(s) brings a high level of skill with fresh and new ideas that are not currently being offered at the Centre, including technical workshops and classes. Instructors should be open to ideas and provide new projects to keep things interesting and our returning students engaged.

Applicants must have a Fine Arts degree in a chosen field, or comparable training, plus the proven ability to design, plan and deliver fine arts programs.

We offer a full range of visual, ceramic and music arts programming for all ages and stages. Small class sizes give students the opportunity to receive individual attention from our talented instructors. Visit pomoarts.ca for current course details.

All Contractors working at the Port Moody Arts Centre are required to complete a Criminal Record Check, renewable every five years; unfortunately, the Centre is unable to compensate for costs incurred.

Interested candidates should forward their proposals including their biography, CV and references, web links, and three images of their work.

Interviews and meetings by appointment only, please; no phone calls.
