CALL TO ARTISTS – Alternator RedDot Members’ Show & Sale

The Alternator is gearing up once again to adorn our walls salon style in both support and celebration of our diverse creative community. With growing popularity the RedDot Annual Members’ Show and Sale returns for it’s third year.

If you missed out on year one and two, Red Dot is a way for local artists to exhibit their work in the Alternator’s professional gallery space each year, creating a grand mosaic that showcases both the people involved with the gallery and the work they produce. This annual members’ exhibition doubles as a ‘Show and Sale’ where visitors can take home (or gift!) a part of the Okanagan’s rich arts community. With affordability in mind, works on display at Red Dot will be priced between $25 – $250 with 25% of proceeds going back to the gallery to support activities in the coming year.

Artists wishing to participate and show their work can contact the gallery at 250-868-2298 for more information. Members of the public are invited to attend the opening reception of Red Dot on November 25 at 7pm, or to visit the gallery during regular hours between November 26 and December 17 to view the exhibition. People are encouraged to visit early, however: as works in the exhibition are sold, they will be removed from the wall and replaced with giant red dots indicating a sale has taken place!
