Canada Day at the FCA!

From 10 am – 4 pm, visitors can get involved with the ‘Maple Mural Tapestry’. Make your own maple leaf using on-site supplies and add it to the tapestry flags that will be hung around the outside of the Federation Gallery. The goal? A temporary collaborative art mural made of hundreds of little maple leaves, how Canadian!

Not much in the mood to get creative? Why not think creatively? Attend a free guided and
interactive gallery tour of the ‘Summer Gallery’ exhibition at 1 pm and 3 pm while enjoying complimentary refreshments.
Neither of the above? Well then why not be witness to the creativity of FCA member artists June Harman and Jill Charuk? These artists will be plein air painting on location around the island, stop by their tents to say hello and take in their work. Sketch pads and pencils will be on hand for those who feel inspired!

Guided tours and plein air painting demonstrations are free to attend, suggested donation for participation in the maple mural tapestry activity is $1 with proceeds going towards FCA educational programming. You can find the maple leaf template to get decorating ahead of time here:
