Double Exposure: Call for Photography

Description

Photographers are invited to submit work in the following categories:
Each photographer is permitted to submit up to 2 photographs per category.

1. Details/Macro: This category is for images that capture the details in life that are often overlooked. Focusing on extreme close ups or small subjects.

2. Found Text: Borrowing the term “found text” from poetry practices, this category encourages photographers to incorporate words or text characters in their photo frame. For example street signs, advertisements, etc.

3. The Local Experience: This category is for photos that connect to our cultural heritage, and photographs that tell of what it means to live in B.C’s Lower mainland in 2019.

4. Youth Photographers: This category is for photographers under the age of 19yrs. Anything goes as long as the photographer is under 19yrs.

Submitted work must be ‘exhibition-ready’ and no larger than 20″x24″ including the frame.

Prizes:
Winner of each category will receive $150 and an invitation to showcase a larger body of work in an encore exhibition. Honorable mentions will be showered in gifts from our sponsors.

Cost to submit:
$10 per image. Maximum 2 entries per category per photographer. Pay via credit card by clicking the Paypal link or pay in-person during our office hours.

Sales Commission:
All prices are set by the photographer at the time of submission. Photographers retain 80% of all sales.

Adjudication:
C.A.P.A trained judges will be evaluating submissions based on the following 3 criteria: Visual Impact, Category Relevance & Technical Execution
