FREE Open studio event for kids & adults!

Description

Come meet other artists and hang out while drawing, painting, and just chilling! Join us in making our own original art postcards, in this open studio hosted by Young Artists’ Place.

Supplies are covered by the studio and both adults and kids are welcome. Children younger than 10 must be accompanied by a guardian.

This is a free drop-in open studio session with minimal instruction provided. The following supplies will be available:

Blank postcard paper
Pencils & coloured pencils
Fineliner pens
Chinese ink
Watercolour paint
Watercolour brushes

Limit two postcards per attendee.

OPTIONAL: Those who would like to donate their cards to be displayed and sold at the Bi Arts Festival in Toronto are welcome to join our joint mailing! We’ll be sealing all the postcards & applications in one packet, and mailing them off together at the end of the day. Young Artists’ Place is a small studio in Burnaby, BC that offers personalized art classes for kids, teens, and adults, focusing on practical drawing and painting skills. The studio takes a modern approach by offering instruction in new and contemporary mediums, like digital art, cartooning, and comics.
