Gallery Bistro presents the work of Denise Dupre – ‘Abstracts, The Joy of Color’, 2411 Clarke Street, Port Moody, BC

Gallery Bistro hours: Wed to Sat 11:00am-3:30pm, Sunday 10:00am-3:30pm. Monday evening Jazz Jam 7:30-9:30pm.
Denise Dupre is a mature self-taught artist inspired by the Impressionists, Alexander Calder, Picasso and Matisse. The exhibition at Gallery Bistro will emphasize the Abstracts and will also include other styles giving the viewer an opportunity to see how creativity itself has inspired Denise to be fulfilled as an artist.
The processes in creating abstracts begins with pouring, pushing and splattering paint across the canvas using rubber gloves and intuition. The beginning of each work is spontaneous and bold. Beyond this there is a consorted deliberation of design and composition enriching the final work.
“The greatest challenge and inspiration in creating abstracts is that there are no rules to dictate predetermined outcomes. The process is not for the timid, artists need to create impulsively and freely, not allowing distracting thoughts from intruding on one’s creative hour. My hope is that the viewer is inspired by these color statements and of the works’ free nature and purity of expression.”
