Harmony Arts Festival Group Exhibition 2015: Harmony and Discord

Located along West Vancouver’s beautiful Ambleside beach, the annual Harmony Arts Festival transforms the stunning waterfront into an open-air celebration of the arts. The 2015 Harmony Arts Festival will take place from July 31- August 9. Visitors enjoy free concerts, art exhibitions, artist talks and demonstrations, the Art Market, family-oriented activities and a variety of unique culinary experiences.

This year the festival is celebrating its 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion we are inviting artists to submit artwork that investigates the theme of ‘Harmony and Discord’. This can be explored in any number of ways. Where is harmony or balance found in our lives, art or nature? Where does the discord occur? Do discord and harmony work together? We are looking for work that encourages conversation and engages with the community. These opposing states can be explored in both two and three dimensional work in any medium.

The Group Exhibition will be held in an outdoor exhibition tent. A private opening reception for the artists, sponsors and guests will be held on the opening evening of the festival, July 31, 2015. Following the reception, the exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday August 9, 2015.
