June 21st Art Event with Kat Wahamaa and Tony Rees

On June 21st at 7pm, the Fort Gallery is pleased to host musicians Kat Wahamaa and Tony Rees, concurrent with the gallery’s 2019 juried photography exhibition, Traces, which will continue through June 30th.

Wahamaa and Rees, with their eclectic tastes in music, harmonic sensibilities and ability to fashion timeless tunes bring to mind everything from Emmylou and Gram to Gilberto and Jobim, k.d. lang, Dave Alvin and Peggy Lee. They have delighted audiences from Ashcroft to Azilda, Kagoshima to Crete.

Kat & Tony write and play beautiful music together and are real life partners, too. Everything Blue is their first album of co-writes and delves further into their roots, jazz and blues cupboard. www.katandtony.ca.

The Fort Gallery thanks the Township of Langley for sponsorship of 4th Friday community arts events. In this case, the 4th Friday event has been planned for the third Friday in June.
