Local Abstractions: A Nonrepresentational Community Art Show

Description

Artists are invited to participate in this community art show by submitting work that is identified as abstract, abstract expressionism, geometric abstraction, lyrical abstraction or the like.
The first 18 artists with completed submission forms and payment will be included in the exhibition. Artists are to submit 2 artworks; 1 or both artworks will be selected to be included in the exhibition.

Submitting Artwork:
Please fill out the form on our website: http://www.semiahmooarts.com/artist-call-local-abstractions/

2-d artwork must be no bigger than 30 inches wide; and no bigger than 40″ high including the frame; and no smaller than 16×16 inches including the frame.

2-d artwork must be ready to hang. Please use plastic coated wire on your frames. No clip frames. No fishline. Hanging specifications can be viewed here.

3-d artwork must be no bigger than 12 inches high by 12 inches wide by 12 inches deep.

Cost to submit: $12 – The submission fees help cover the costs attributed to installation and the Artist Reception. Please make your payment via Paypal or during our office hours.

Sales Commission:

All prices are set by the artist at the time of submission. Artists retain 80% of sales.

Important Dates:
Deadline to submit artwork: May 30, 5pm. However, space is limited. We will remove the artist call have received 18 completed submissions.

Thursday, June 7: 4pm-8pm: Artwork drop off
Friday, June 8: 10am-4pm: Artwork drop off
Thursday, June 21 7pm-9pm: Artist Reception
Friday, July 20 10am-4pm: Artwork pick-up
