March First Thursday at The Fort Gallery

On the first Thursday of each month, The Fort Gallery hosts a variety of visual artists, writers and poets, and musicians from the local community who share their gifts and creations. On March 2nd, we are pleased to welcome musician Kempton Dexter.

Kempton is a bit of an artistic jack of all trades. He draws, paints and sculpts. He writes stories, plays, songs and music. He’s been the band leader of a number of dance bands, often using the stage name, Hi-Rise Dex. These days he prefers to perform solo, concentrating on his original material. A new CD, “Springtime in Vancouver” is set for release early March 2017.

Also featured at this month’s First Thursday is the Gallery’s own Kristin Krimmel, who will talk about her work in our current exhibit Flora.

The Fort Gallery thanks the Township of Langley for sponsorship of First Thursday community arts events.

Gallery hours are Wednesday to Sunday, noon-5pm
