North Shore Art Crawl 2016 Call for Registrations

Registration is now open for the 6th annual North Shore Art Crawl, taking place on Saturday & Sunday, March 5th & 6th, 2016 from 10:00am-5:00pm. Sign up now to be seen! The deadline to register as a participating artist is January 10, 2016 at 12am midnight. No late registrations will be accepted.

The North Vancouver Community Arts Council is proud to present the North Shore Art Crawl again this year. It is a weekend-long event that continues to benefit both local artists and the broader North Shore community by providing a platform to expose and showcase the amazing talent in our midst. Artists are highlighted in both an online profile and in a full-colour, 20+ page brochure, 10,000 copies of which are printed and distributed throughout our community.

All artists and artisans (painters, potters, sculptors, carvers, jewellers, textile artists, art schools, etc.) who work and/or live on the North Shore (from Deep Cove to Lions Bay), or are members of the North Vancouver Community Arts Council, are invited to open their galleries and studios to the community for the weekend.

Guidelines, fees, and registration forms can be found on the North Vancouver Community Arts Council website at http://www.nvartscouncil.ca/nsac/register.

Last year saw record-breaking numbers of participating artists, venues, and visits to studios: 400 artists at 78 locations, visited by 9000+ patrons! Artists reported high numbers of sales, commissions, and registrations for art classes, with 27 participants recruited for a group exhibition organized by The Blank Tank in Vancouver.

Participants are encouraged to create groupings of artists to share space and draw more potential visitors to see their work. By getting your neighbouring artists to sign up, or by inviting fellow artists to share your studio, a cluster is created, making it easy for patrons to visit multiple artists in one area.
