Write a poem, deconstruct it, move with it. Repeat. This class will see its poets (whatever their experience) write poems driven by prompts and writing exercises; explore moving with the poems, taking them into different realms of expression; and learn to read, speak, share and perform their poems, culminating in a final public performance. This class is designed to shake up the writing practice of seasoned poets, and inspire those who have yet to delve into the medium. A variety of poetic forms will be explored, and guided peer feedback will be a part of the process.
