Scenes from Western Canada

Description

Scenes from Western Canada is an open, international, juried exhibition of original paintings, printmaking and drawing media. Abstract, expressive, impressionist and realist styles are welcome.
Entries must not be copies, derivatives, or based in any way on other copyrighted or published paintings, photographs or other artistic works. No photographs, although a photograph may be incorporated into the completed art work. They must be entirely the work of the entrant, executed without the supervision of an instructor. Work must not have been previously exhibited in any other FCA exhibition. All work must be for sale and priced in Canadian funds with intent to sell
ENTRY FEES
$15.00 per image (Canadian dollars).
Up to three images may be entered. Entry fees are non-refundable.

CATEGORIES
Unlike most of our exhibitions, Scenes of Western Canada has prize categories.
Established Artist category – all living artists in Canada that do not qualify for the student/emerging artist category.
Emerging Artist category – under 40 years of age, and must not have been accepted into any former FCA shows.

The winner of the Emerging Artist category is eligible for the Painter’s Keys Prize worth $1,000. The submission stipulation/ condition for the prize:
1. The winner of the Painters’ Key must be under 40 years of age.
2. The winner must not have been accepted into any former FCA shows.
3. There must be 5 entries that meet this criteria in order for the prize to be awarded
