The Alternator Centre welcomes UK artist Tony Stallard to Kelowna

Description

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is happy to bring in the work of UK-based artist Tony Stallard. His exhibition, New Breed, forms experimental relationships between light and material. In creating his sculptures, he purposefully selects organic materials like moss, timber, feathers, and bones to contrast with industrial materials like neon, steel, ceramic and glass.

Visit the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art between September 26 and November 1 to view the exhibition. Please join us for an opening reception and artist talk on Saturday, September 26 at 7 pm. All events take place at The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art and are free to the public.

Stallard’s New Breed will be opening on the weekend of BC Culture Days | Fête de la culture, a BC-wide organized weekend of cultural events taking place September 26, 27 and 28, 2014.

The Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art is an artist-run centre located in Kelowna at the Rotary Centre for the Arts, 421 Cawston Avenue.
