The Love Show: Portraits of your Passion


All artists are invited to submit a maximum of three portraits of people or animals they adore in celebration of Valentine’s Day. All mediums are welcome. Size restrictions: 2-d artwork can be no larger than 24”x36” including frame. 3-d artwork can be no larger than 12”x12”x12”.

The exhibition runs from January 17-March 2, 2018 and the opening reception will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 5:30pm, at the White Rock Community Centre, 145154 Russell Ave.

How to Submit Your Artwork:

Complete the application form online at www.semiahmooarts.com or Register in Person at the White Rock Community Centre, at 15154 Russell Ave.
$10 Entry fee for each piece submitted. A maximum of three pieces per artists. See PayPal link below OR Cash or cheque accepted in the Semiahmoo Arts Office. (Cheques must be made payable to Semiahmoo Arts.)
Deadline for Application Submission: January 8, 5:00pmArtwork must be delivered to the White Rock Community Centre on Saturday, Jan. 13 between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Art work not accepted to the exhibition must be picked up by Tuesday, Jan. 16. All artists needing to pick up their art work will be contacted.

There will be cash awards for this exhibition. First prize will receive $50, second prize will receive $30 and third prize will receive $20. The awards will be distributed at the Opening Reception on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 5:30pm.

-Semiahmoo Arts and The City of White Rock will take the utmost care in handling the work but cannot be responsible for loss or damage.

-All pieces must be dry, wired, and ready to be hang on the wall. All 3-d pieces must be dry and free of chemical odors.

-By entering this call, permission is given to Semiahmoo Arts and The City of White Rock to photograph accepted works for publicity and documentary purposes, including promotion of the exhibition on their websites.

Created in partnership with the City of White Rock and Semiahmoo Arts, the Art on Display program ensures art is visible and accessible to the community. In a series of 5-8 themed juried exhibitions held throughout the year, Art on Display showcases work in a variety of media by British Columbian artists.
