Timescapes at the ArtStarts Gallery

Join us at the opening celebration for Timescapes on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 2pm-4pm. RSVP online at: artstarts-s14.eventbrite.com

Timescapes is an exhibition of young people’s art showcasing how BC students examined how time is marked in the natural world through explorations in felt, clay, printmaking and other artistic mediums. Also grounded in language arts, these explorations enabled students to develop a deep understanding of natural cycles and their relevance to their own communities.

The ArtStarts Gallery is the first in Canada devoted exclusively to young people’s art. Since the gallery opened in 2006, exhibitions have celebrated the exciting artwork that emerges when students, educators and professional artists work together to deepen learning, creativity and community connections.

The ArtStarts Gallery is located at 808 Richards Street (at Robson) in downtown Vancouver. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
