Trinity Western University presents Sea Change: Art & the Environment

Description

Glistening water. Human bodies. Memories of belonging.

TWU’s School of the Arts, Media + Culture is proud to host Sea Change, a collection of art exploring environmental themes, produced in partnership with the Verge Conference.

Visiting from the University of Alberta, artist Liz Ingram uses paper, ink, glass, light, shimmering pixels, and fabric to reawaken an understanding of our fundamental connections with nature. Ingram’s art awakens a sense of play, tapping into childhood memories of playing with water, and celebrates the wonder of this endangered and essential substance.

The exhibition also features work by BC-based artists Doris Auxier, Laurie Culshaw, Erica Grimm, Edith Krause, Helma Sawatzky, and Barbara Ziegler.

Artist talk will be held Oct. 3 during Sea Change Colloquium presented by the Verge Conference.
