Vancouver Art Guild 16th Annual Winter Salon

Description

Members of the Vancouver Art Guild are proud to announce their 16th Annual Winter Exhibition and Sale to be held Sunday, November 6th from 11am to 5pm at the Jericho Hill Centre, 4196 West 4th Ave, Vancouver ( on the #4 bus route).

This popular sale and exhibit features hundreds of paintings in all styles, media, subjects and
priced for all budgets – small works start at only $20.

With free admission and free parking, lots of snacks and a supervised table for budding young artists, this lively family event regularly attracts over 800 eager viewers and buyers.

The Vancouver Art Guild, a non-profit organization, was created in 2000 to support emerging artists. For 10 years it provided scholarships to secondary school students; now the funds are consolidated into a single bursary for an Emily Carr student specializing in Visual Art.

The Guild donates to the Vancouver Art Gallery’s school-visit program and, with Opus Framing and Art Supplies, also provides art supply gift cards to several inner city schools. Members of the Guild continue to donate art supplies to The Gathering Place, a downtown community support centre.

Over 16 years the Guild has provided studio classes, workshops, art history talks, gallery visits and painting trips for members and friends.

The paintings – and some jewelry – shown on November 6th reflect the growth of all the Guild artists.
