Whose Life Is It Anyway?

Whose Life Is It Anyway? is a talent competition designed to produce a learning tool that will ultimately facilitate the education of our community to the importance of Advance Care Planning.

We invite student groups, senior groups and drama troupes to Write, Stage and Film a 2-4 minute skit. The local finalists will perform live May 22, 2015 at the In the Spotlight Gala at The Radisson Hotel in Richmond, hosted by the British Columbia Hospice Palliative Care Association and BCBH (British Columbia Bereavement Hotline).

The Comox Valley Hospice Society created a skit for their organization last year – and the lyrics are quite funny! This will give you an idea as to what we are looking for:

On April 16th, National Advance Care Planning Day, Helen Austin, Sue Pyper & Judy Wing—collectively known as the multi-talented Voices Three—entertained over 100 guests at the heARTful Expressions Art Exhibit and Reception hosted by Berwick Comox Valley. They performed their delightful parody of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody called “Last Rhapsody”. Interspersed with poignancy and humour, we hope you enjoy the video! These talented women have generously raised more than $20,000 over the years to support hospice services in our community.
