Adventures in Cadmium-Free Oil Painting with Jimmy Leslie and Winsor & Newton

October 22, 2020

Description

Thursday, October 22 2020 – 11:00AM

Join Winsor & Newton Resident Artist Jimmy Leslie as he introduces Winsor & Newton’s newest additions to their Artist Oil Colour range – Cadmium-Free Colours! Over the course of his demo, Jimmy will explain the value of using Cadmium-Free paints, talk about their mixability, and highlight how they can be integrated into your own oil painting practice. In order to show these new paints in action, Jimmy will work on an in-progress painting and present two finished pieces; all painted using colours from Winsor & Newton’s Artist Oil Colour Cadmium-Free selection and favourites pulled from the existing colour range. This live-painting experience will allow Jimmy to go through some oil painting basics, as well as allowing attendees an opportunity to ask any oil-painting related they may have. This will be an incredible presentation for artists looking to build their knowledge of alternatives to environmentally-impactful Cadmium colours, take their first steps into oil painting, or experience Jimmy’s inspiring teaching style for themselves!
