An Introduction to Alcohol Markers featuring Jimmy Leslie and the new Promarker sets!

September 24, 2020

Join Winsor & Newton Resident Artist Jimmy Leslie for an introduction to the wonderful world of alcohol markers! In this fun demo, Jimmy will delve into essential alcohol marker techniques using the newly launched Winsor & Newton Promarker sets. All in the context of marker art, Jimmy will discuss colour choices, the importance of temperature and value, layering, and working from light to dark. He will also introduce attendees to the magic of using greys to both modulate overall colour and the beauty of underlay sketches. This will be a wonderful demonstration for anyone looking to try alcohol markers for the first time, refine their knowledge, or experience Jimmy’s inspiring teaching style themselves!

Jimmy primarily uses the Promarker colours found in the newest Architectural Tones set of 24 Promarkers, but will take the time to introduce all the new promarker sets to show participants ways of building your own library of alcohol markers!
