January 21, 2021

“Architecture is the will of the age conceived in spatial terms. Living. Changing. New.” –Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
To understand architecture is to understand its specific cultural and historical context with spatial and material vocabularies. The course begins with an investigation into an existing building, ends with a design proposal of a renovation project which will be presented by students on the last day. Design principles and architecture elements will be introduced along with the design process. The course emphasizes on the process of hands-on model making and drawing.
