Art Now: Storytelling and Abstraction

Are you curious about what is going on in contemporary art in the 21st century? This course follows the trajectory of two major trends in art now: that of storytelling and the other of abstraction (and all that might fall between the two). Through a series of lectures and slide presentations, the instructor will encourage you to explore the ideas behind the art being produced. This course is open to anybody who is interested in art, and it will also be a great background for anyone planning a trip to a major city to look museums and galleries. Course will also include supplemental readings and website material. All sessions are recorded so if you miss one, you can catch up with recording. Suitable for all levels.
