Learn how to utilize black to create dramatic light with Brian Buhler!
In this demo, Brian will paint an 11″ x 14″ canvas with acrylic. He will demonstrate the power of colour and value gradation to create intense and dramatic light, especially when juxtaposed with pure black. Get ready to be bold with your colour use!

Brian is a self taught artist who understands that “self taught” is an oxymoron. Many artists have inspired him, most notably Mike Svob and Michael O’Toole. A friend gave him a Watercolour for Dummies book 30 years ago that “truly altered my life.” He loves painting because it gives the left side of his brain a sabbath rest. His paintings are for sale at Rempel Mercantile in Fort Langley.
