Artist Bio:
Born and raised in Victoria, Andrew Morris MacKay is a freelance illustrator and watercolour painter who brings his own unique and recognizable style to illustrate widely loved genres such as fantasy, sci-fi, and horror. After obtaining formal training in illustration and classical animation from the Victoria College of Art, Andrew worked a brief stint in film animation before finding his way back to his original love of illustration. His freelance works include private commissions of all varieties, book illustrations, beer labels, and more. Conveying a story within a single illustration is where he finds his passion and it’s easy to see the heavy influence from mythology, folk tales, legends, and fantasy stories in the majority of his work. For Andrew, every new illustration is a new adventure.
