Beginner Watercolour

$95.00

Description

Do you want to learn how to use watercolour?
If you’re brand new to watercolour painting or are looking to get back into it after a long break, this class is for you.
Learn from professional watercolour artist and arts educator Josslyn Meyers as you explore basic techniques. Topics will include:
– How to create washes that don’t look muddy
-Working with different brushes to get different looks
-Understanding how watercolours react to each other, water and the paper
-Understanding how colors mix (very different from acrylics!)
-How to gain some control over this more fluid method
-Finding your own personal approach to creating imagery and to feel more comfortable with this medium.
We will create small, well-designed paintings with clean, bright colours, and the emphasis will be on exploration rather than creating a finished painting. Classes will build upon each other, with a variety of subjects and themes. A great beginner class.
