Call For Artisans & Makers: Gifted Holiday Market 2022

Description

This holiday season the West Vancouver Community Arts Council is inviting submissions from artisans & makers for our Gifted Holiday Market in the Silk Purse Gallery in West Vancouver from November 16 – 20, 2022!

We are looking for unique, handmade, artisanal quality jewellery, handbags, pottery, candles, soaps, fashion items, cards, woodwork, leather goods & other special items.

Selected items will be displayed & sold in the Silk Purse Gallery during the market dates & following that in the Art Box shop. Selected items will be part of our display & sales at the North Van ShipYards Christmas Artisan Market on December 10 & 11.

We take items on consignment, & keep a 25% commission on sales.

WVCAC Membership is required, either at the Individual ($10) or Artist ($25) level if you are selected to participate.

How To Submit

1. Visit the Call for Artisans site & select the Register for this event button.

2. Complete the Submission Form which includes uploading:

• Artwork Submission Hi-res images of the items you are submitting for consideration.
  Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, TIF, TIFF. Each file should be less than 20 MB.
• Artist Statement Clear & concise description of your work & bio.
  Accepted formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX. File should be less than 20MB.

Results  Artisans/makers will be advised by September 30 if your work is selected. Selected items to be delivered by October 15 at the Silk Purse Arts Centre. Delivery arrangements will be confirmed post acceptance notice.

Gifted Holiday Market
November 16 – 20, 2022. Silk Purse Arts Centre, 1570 Argyle Ave. West Vancouver. Following the Market items will be sold in the Art Box Shop in the Silk Purse. Selected items will be part of our display & sales at the North Van ShipYards Christmas Artisan Market on December 10 & 11.
