Call For Artists: Penticton Arts Council Fall Spooktacular Colouring Book

Description
It’s Halloween! Let your monstrous, magical imagination conjure ghosts and ghouls that would make Mary Shelley proud.
We are looking for artists to create colouring pages for our Annual Fall Spooktacular Colouring Book. This year, we will be handing out copies of the colouring book to the guests at Penti-Con on October 21st and 22nd, so feel encouraged to choose monsters and magical beings from your favourite movies, TV shows and comics!
Theme: All things fall and spooky, with a pop-culture twist.

Please contact us that you intend to submit an image before you start creating so we can have a rough idea of page count.

Deadline to Submit Image: Monday, September 25th, 2023

Please put the title “Fall Spooktacular” in the subject line when submitting your image. Include your name and preferred payment method (cheque or e-transfer).

Colouring books will be available at the Leir House and other supporting venues as well as made available on the Penticton Arts Council website for download. They will also be available at the PDCAC table during the 2023 Penti-Con.
Honorariums:

Artists aged 15+ will receive a $25 honorarium.

Payments are made via e-transfer or cheque. * We can only send e-transfers if you have autodeposit set up on your bank account.

Artists aged 14 and under will receive comparable amounts in art supply boxes.
Image Information:

One entry per person.

File type: jpeg, png, or pdf.

Orientation: horizontal or vertical.

Please create a black line drawing, digital or hand-drawn, as they will be used for colouring in.

Image files min 500 KB – max 2MB. If the image is not clear, we will contact you.

Let us know if you need to send a larger file size. If you don’t know how to resize or require other assistance, we are happy to help.
If selected, artists will be asked to sign an image release waiver and statement that the images are the artists’ own work and do not violate copyright laws.
