Can This Painting be Saved? with Lalita Hamill

June 30, 2019

Description

Sun, June 30, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
Sun, June 30, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Many artists have stacks of unfinished paintings. The focus of this demo will be to assess the compositional merits of these incomplete paintings in order to assist the participants in their decision whether or not to continue the painting at home, or toss it. Participants are invited to bring in paintings for assessment. For those who are willing, Lalita will demo directly onto acrylic or oil painting as close to their painted style as possible.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Langley or contact them at 604‑533‑0601 to register.

Lalita is a popular instructor and juror who specializes in abstract realism, especially of figures, still life and landscapes. She attended the Vancouver Academy of Art, where she studied traditional painting methods from classically trained instructors. She facilitated free monthly critiques for ten years, has been to China for artist exchanges, and runs a successful atelier program at her studio in Langley, BC. “I paint and teach to gently awaken in myself and others that which has been lost, hidden, or buried.” www.lalitahamill.com
