In this virtual demo, Kelly will give attendees a crash course in choosing the ideal brushes for their projects. She will open the demo by going over aspects of how brushes are made, brush anatomy, choosing your brush fibers, brush care, and the differences between short vs. long handle brushes. After this valuable background knowledge is made available, Kelly will show how brush characteristics affect brush performance by demonstrating some of her favourites from Princeton’s brush ranges. This will be a wonderful demonstration for artists of any level who are interested in learning more about the wonderful world of brushes!
Materials
Featuring an assortment of brushes from the Princeton ranges to help illustrate the many types of artist brushes and their behaviours. Brushes will be included from the following ranges!

Artist Bio
Kelly Baskin is a twenty-five year old commission-based hyper-realist artist based out of Toronto, ON. Baskin graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Art History from Queen’s University where she specialized in oil painting. In recent years, she has taken a special interest in Art Education and is passionate about the technology of artist’s materials. She is currently working as a Fine Art Account Manager and Professional Artist for a FILA Group- Dixon Ticonderoga ART ULC, representing some of the world’s leading Fine Art brands including Canson, Arches, Saunders, Daler-Rowney, and Maimeri.
