Kathleen Menges will be demonstrating the basics on how to work with cold wax medium and oil. She will be explaining the pertinent aspects of timing and how to mix the products together to achieve great results. Kathleen will also dive into the many types of tools she uses for mark making. Participants will be able to get started in this unique medium after Kathleen covers the basic techniques of this fabulous art form.

Kathleen Menges is an artist and instructor. She teaches techniques in cold Wax and oil in her studio in Abbotsford and brings a diverse education to all her teachings. Her education started in Interior Design at BCIT. She then went on to study at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. Furthermore, she has traveled internationally to further her knowledge in her mediums. Kathleen has been published in two books: “Cold Wax Medium Techniques, Concepts & Conversations,” by Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin and also in Serena Barton’s book, “Wabi-Sabi Painting with Cold Wax.” Kathleen is represented through Art Works Gallery in Vancouver and Art Couture in White Rock.
