Collage Salon with Elizabeth Zvonar
September 27, 2019
Collage is a way of art making that embraces combining a wide variety of materials and relies on good composition to make a finished work. The materials can be anything including what you can find in your recycle bin and as such, it’s a generous and forgiving medium with which to make art. This upcoming Collage Salon will be led by Elizabeth Zvonar, a local Vancouver artist working in both collage and sculpture. Zvonar will locate collage through art history with a brief set of images that are intended to give some context to how collage has been used in the past. The workshop will include some quick exercises to get us started. Come sift through magazines and materials to find some treasures to begin working. Mobil will supply scissors, glue and some books and magazines to look through. If you’ve got some material that you would like to use, please feel free to bring along. We will work collectively on a giant long table. You can take away your piece(s) at the end of the session
