Saturday, October 19 3:00PM – 4:30PM

In this demo, Amanda will walk through how to mix oil colours when preparing your palette for portrait-painting. Through multiple portraits, she will show how to capture the glow and translucency of skin, and how to mix for a range of skin tones.

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus Downtown Vancouver or contact them at 604‑678‑5889 to register.

The primary interest of Amanda’s work is a love of reflection and transparency. Amanda’s work aims to reveal the beauty in natural textures and patterns in the people and nature we encounter daily. The portraits aim to convey a sense of symbolism rather than subjectivity, and aim to represent us as individuals or in relationships with each other or nature, rather than specific people in time. She currently works and exhibits at Betamax Gallery in East Vancouver and The Space Gallery in Yaletown.
