Creating a Watercolor Animal Illustration

Learn how to create an illustration of an animal using basic materials and watercolor techniques. See the step by step of how to complete a painting, speeding up your process with different methods, embracing mistakes and having fun with experimentation. 

All levels of illustrators are welcome!

Techniques that will be demonstrated:

  • Finding your Reference
  • Transferring to Paper
  • Paint Test and Swatching
  • Underpainting (Wet vs. Dry paper)
  • Watercolor Application 
  • Color Pencil Application
  • Final Touches

Artist Bio:

Carolina Fierrot is the artist behind Le Petit Brush. A Colombian artist that creates vibrant figurative art. She likes to experiment with different painting and digital techniques as she continues to develop her own style. 

She draws inspiration from nature and her passion for learning about the mysteries of the mind, our connection to the universe and the energy of love that moves within us.
