Creating Pansies with Derwent Inktense and Candace Leyland

March 12, 2021

Description

When: March 12th at 11am PST (1.5 hour demo)

Join Canadian artist Candice Leyland for this wonderful demo using the fantastic Derwent Inktense pencils and paint pans to paint beautiful pansies! Candice will share a variety of different methods for using Inktense pencils including rewetting and blending as well as showing their differences from traditional “painting” mediums. With the Inktense pans, she will focus on using wet in wet techniques, colour mixing and creating washes and glazes to build up colours and add detail. Derwent Inktense pencils are highly versatile watersoluble pencils which create ink-like colour when combined with water. Due to this product’s permanence once dried, Inktense can be layered without affecting previous applications. As for our Inktense Paint Pan set, unlike traditional watercolour, washes of vivid paint can be applied without dissolving previously dried layers. This demo will be wonderful for anyone looking to learn about this incredible product range or creating Pansies of their own.
