Derwent Graphitint Painting Tutorial
Learn how to create this beautiful boat scene using Derwent Graphitint Paint Pan Set. Isabel Santos from Urban Sketchers Toronto will demonstrate how to use the Derwent Graphitint Paint Pan Pocket Set as an alternative to watercolours when sketching a boat scenery. Graphitint, which is graphite mixed with colored pigment, achieves this effect. The set has both warm and cool tones that are great for adding values. Participants will learn how to use value to add depth to their paintings as well as create a focal point.

Artist Bio:
Isabel Santos discovered the Urban Sketchers (USk) community in 2016, she became the Toronto chapter admin in 2019 and was invited to be part of the USk Membership Committee in 2021 handling 100+ North American chapters and still growing.
Historic buildings, houses and interesting structures are her favourite subjects to sketch. Preferring on location drawing than using a photograph, she does not think of perfecting the final artwork, but would rather enjoy the moment and be immersed in the environment. Sketching for her is a meditative process to exercise the right side of the brain.
