Description
This intensive drawing course will provide the skills needed for the sound practice of drawing. Learn correct measurement techniques by drawing still life and the figure with an emphasis on line and tone. In addition, the age old practice and discipline of copying drawings from the old masters will be studied. Open to students of all skill levels.
Special Instructions
Born in Johannesburg, Liza Visagie originally studied at the University of South Africa before moving to Vancouver to pursue an education as a master printer. She completed her degree in Fine Arts at the Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 1999. Liza's area of focus is landscape painting, and she employs the shapes, tones, and colours found in nature to compose the language of her work. She combines traditional oil painting techniques with investigative and innovative approaches in a contemporary context. Liza has exhibited both locally and internationally.
