Drawing Fundamentals
In this class, you will learn the basics of drawing shapes in a realistic way. We will go over basic tools needed for drawing, and ways to use them to get different results. Beginning with drawing exercises to warm up and get in the flow, then looking at how light affects a 3D shape, you will get a better understanding of how to sketch and shade a realistic object.
No prior knowledge is needed.
MATERIALS:
Students are expected to provide their own supplies in order to participate.
- 9″x12″ Sketchbook
- Graphite pencils (any brand with 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B)
- Kneadable eraser
- Tortillons (blending stumps/sticks)
- Sharpener
