Join Jess Olsen and learn how to add in beautiful movement and accents to your watercolour paintings!
Have fun with abstract landscapes and add in graphical touches to an otherwise more traditional medium. Learn Jess’ methods for finishing a piece with bold white ink, and how to convey the movement of light by using metallic accents. Add new techniques to your paintings by learning how to refine a watercolour painting from an underpainting, and using metallics to add subtle highlights.

Jess Olsen likes to describe her work as ‘doing watercolours wrong’, employing bold bright colours and high contrast in a medium that’s more known for dreamy washes and layers of transparency. She is largely self taught, with a brief background in animation and graphic design.
