Sign up for the Summer Institute for Teens at Emily Carr University of Art + Design! Our Summer Institute for Teens will be facilitated online this year, making it easier for students to participate in this exciting pre-university program.
Featuring small classes taught by professional, practicing artists and designers, the Summer Institute for Teens prepares students for the next step in their creative careers. Students spend four weeks engaged in intensive studio practice, where they develop a range of technical and creative skills, and create new work for their portfolios. Students have a choice of 10 online studios in a range of disciplines in the fields of visual arts, media and design. No previous experience in the subject area is required.
By the end of the program, students will have broadened their understanding of art + design, created exciting new works and participated in anonline exhibition with their peers.
Summer Institute for Teens (SIT): JULY 5-30, 2021
Eligible ages: 16-18 years or have completed Grade 10 by July 2021
Early bird enrolment deadline: MAY 31, 2021
Regular enrolment deadline: JUNE 21, 2021
We are hosting a virtual info session on Thursday, May 20th at 5 pm (PDT, GMT -7), where we will share all the details about our summer programs for youth. Students, parents and teachers interested in attending are invited to register on Eventbrite.
