Free Art Critiques

Description
This event will take place as a virtual meeting through the platform Webex Cisco (like Zoom). You will let us know of your interest and your name will be placed on the group mailing list to be notified of how to participate in upcoming Art Critiques, including links to join virtual meetings.
Prior to the event you will be asked to email a photo in of any artworks you want to discuss. Each member will be asked to introduce their artwork and tell the group what sort of feedback they’d like from the discussion. The group will respond with reactions, feedback, questions, suggestions, and often encouragement too. We often tackle questions of artistic success/business/growth through sharing success stories and roadblocks along the way.
This Art Critique group has been running for approximately 13 years, is sponsored by the Langley Arts Council, and is facilitated monthly by artist Amy J. Dyck (www.amyjdyck.com).

Special Instructions
To join us remotely, you will have to download the app. There will be an invitation in your email within a week of the event on May 25 that should include a link to do so. You will need to have the app on a device that has a mic and a video camera, such as a computer equipped with those, or any laptop or tablet. Phones will work but will be very small and make it more difficult to participate.
Prior to the event you will be asked to email some photos of your work that we can discuss.
Prerequisites
None. Though if you want feedback on work, you'll have created some that you intend to share with the group.
Registration Details
Email admin@langleyarts.ca and ask to be added to the Art Crit mail list. From there you will be sent info and links that will help you join the next virtual art critique. You can unsubscribe from the list at any time, or stay on it for future meetings.
