Open up your art practice through the possibilities of working in mixed media painting, collage and resin!
Join artist Sarah Ronald as she discusses working with a variety of drawing and acrylic painting techniques and share how these combinations have informed and contributed to her distinct style of mixed media painting. In addition to talking about the possibility of drawings, collage and acrylic painting, Sarah will give tips and tricks for setting up a resin table in your studio, demonstrate a resin pour, and show how to use a torch to achieve a perfect glassy finish.
Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus North Vancouver or contact them at 604‑904‑0447 to register.
Sarah is a full time artist who considers herself a drawer at heart but actually works in mixed media. Her subject matter is wild animals and her work is concerned with animals being impacted by human activity, particularly in suburban areas.
Sarah grew up in the Okanagan and after achieving her BFA in 2001 she moved to the lower mainland. This year Sarah is exploring the possibilities of community engaged artwork via her artist residency at the Roundhouse Art & Recreation Centre in Vancouver.
